You had me until the last half. Transtrenders don’t exist. Detransitioners/non trans people who questioned their gender but identify with their birth gender do exist, but that’s not the same as “choosing to be trans to be popular". I would encourage you to read my piece titled “My Mom Thinks I’m A ‘Transtrender’" to better understand the harmful implications believing any trans youth is willfully faking being trans has.
